Our story

Hoisington is known as the “heart of the Cheyenne Bottoms.” Park View Inn & Suites in Hoisington is the only hotel on the Wetlands and Wildlife National Scenic Byway that connects the Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area and the Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. Both are great places to view migratory birds like whooping cranes, shorebirds, bald eagles, ducks and geese. Metal art banners depicting the wildlife of Cheyenne Bottoms and local history line Hoisington’s Main Street.

You’ll also find art murals, brick side streets and WPA projects like the sundial on the Hoisington City Building and the mural inside the Hoisington Post Office. The hotel is centrally located for exploring historic forts like Fort Hays, Fort Larned and Fort Harker at Kanopolis.

From the Hoisington History Museum and the Shaffer Fine Art Gallery at Barton Community College to the Barton County Veterans Memorial north of Great Bend, there is a lot to explore when you base your stay at Park View Inn & Suites.
